Ladybird Tower

Description

Description

Our ladybird towers for ladybirds and other beneficial insects are made from natural air-dried FSC-certified wood blocks and the appearance may vary. Each tower is cleverly constructed to provide a ??hollow central chamber filled with straw to insulate and protect beneficial insects. Access to the central chamber is provided by pathways drilled through the sides of the block. The central chamber is protected by the pitched roof. The ladybird tower comes with a ground stake (attached to the rear for transport). This allows the ladybird tower to be placed in lawns, sheltered flower beds, wooded clearings or even in planters. To encourage ladybirds to inhabit the tower, you can apply ladybird food to the entrance openings. The slowly seasoned, naturally durable wood species do not require chemical preservatives that could deter ladybirds from inhabiting your ladybird tower.
